The hot weather makes me long for Bohol. I had the pleasure of experiencing myself the wonders this fine island last May 2012.
The prime reason for the trip was to support Team CB’s solo and relay team runners in conquering the Bohol 50 miler Ultramarathon. It’s a 80km route that kicked-off at Panglao Island all the way up to the scenic Chocolate Hills of Carmen.
When all’s been done and tarsier medals were given to those who’ve endured the grueling run, off to Loboc River Cruise we dined.
Morning came, we packed our bags and hopped on our ride. Bohol offers one of the best island hopping experiences in the country. We wished to see some dolphins but the waves made that quite impossible. Our first stop gave us the fix we badly needed after the run. The second stop, Pungtud Island. Locally known as the Virgin Island, it is actually a sandbar. We find visitors like us, enjoying not just the the water but also produce from the water and the mainland.
