~ Gustave Flaubert ~

must love dogs…Potpot

PotpotLet me introduce to you our newest fur baby, Potpot. How she became part of the family goes like this.

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, the night was dark when a tiny bundle of black and white suddenly appeared.

It was a puppy. She placed herself in the middle of the road and would not budge even if my cousin kept on honking at her to get out of their way. This left them with just one choice, pick the puppy up and look for her family. They did just that but found none. And so they took her with them.

She got a new home.

And Potpot for a name.

Potpot /potpot/

noun

1. the sound of a vehicle’s horn.

2. the name you give a stray puppy who arranged her own adoption by placing herself in the middle of the road.

Hooray for Today!

Stay a little longer in bed
Keep the covers over my head…
But a new day is calling
Morning is coming…

Thank you
For the break of day,
My favorite song,
For lighting my way,
The world I belong…

But most of all
Thank you for the gift of today.
I’ve got a brand new day.
And to that I say, hooray for today.

Ako ay Nagbalik

Manila Clasico

Manila Clasico

I have always been a hoops fan since I was young. But life happens and I’ve lost track how my childhood dream team fared in the last few years. How lost am I, you might ask? I never knew it changed its name more than thrice. And the last time I cheered for them was way back in 2002, in the best-of-seven championship series of PBA Governors Cup.

Thanks to the national team, Gilas Pilipinas, I’ve rekindled my love for the game. And last Tuesday, I was clapping and cheering my way back! Thanks to my friend too, who made sure we get the tickets hence we get to watch it live. Boy, I’m glad we’re on the same side. And now that my team is vying for another Philippine Cup, count me in to cheer for them here and now in the semifinals against its legendary rival all the way to the finals.

“family is simply those with whom you share a bond of love.”

Family

I don’t know about you but my family generates an amazing amount of laundry every week.  Aren’t you a little curious about the family that inspired this piece of outdoor sculpture at the Shidoni Gallery in Tesuque, NM?

Light Bearers: Ang Pasimula

tawag
